nformation on Eurescom's RSS news feed

What is an RSS news feed?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is an easy way for you to keep updated automatically on websites you like. Think about RSS news feeds as individual news sources that create headlines and RSS as a way to read the news more easily. Instead of visiting websites to find out if they have published new information, you can use RSS to be informed every time there is something new.

RSS files provide news updates from a website in a simple form for your computer. You read these files in a programme called RSS reader or aggregator, which collects news from various websites and provides it to you in a simple form.

Usually, this icon is linked to an RSS file, as on the Eurescom website.
Sometimes, you may also find this XML icon instead: XML icon

If you click on an RSS button or link, most browsers, like the Internet Explorer, will prompt you to download the RSS file, but won't display it properly. The file contains raw XML code used to describe the news feed. This XML code is designed to be read only by an RSS news reader.
